Requirements

  • Expert level experience in web technologies (React, JavaScript, NodeJS, Java/C#, AJAX, CSS)
  • Experience in building enterprise grade applications, that are highly responsive supporting high volume of concurrent users
  • Knowledge of SQL and relational databases, as well big-data repositories (ie Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Redis, AWS S3)
  • Solid understanding of Object-Oriented design and programming concepts

Requirements

  • Expert level experience coding in Java/C#/C++ and open-source environment, using big-data technologies, such as Kafka, Spark, Cassandra, ElasticSearch, Redis, Hadoop, MongoDB

  • Experience in data profiling, complex sampling, statistical testing, and performing test of reliability on enterprise data

  • Machine Learning and Data Modeling experience, working with standard formats (ie Avro, JSON, Parquet)

  • Strong skills working with very large data sets with a variety of tools; experience in dealing with performance and scaling issues

  • 10+ years in product management or operations management in the investment funds industry with an asset manager, fund administrator, and/or a technology vendor

  • Detailed understanding of the investment funds market business requirements and technology competitive landscape

  • Experience in designing technology solutions, writing functional documents, and researching business requirements

  • Commercial sense to identify customer needs, adequate solutions and appropriate action plan

  • Ability to engage with managers and executives across product, operations and technology

  • Good understanding investment funds technology platforms and ecosystems, enterprise cloud technologies, machine learning, and artificial intelligence

  • Preferably strong skills working with very large data sets with a variety of tools

  • Strategic sales and leadership skills: Proven track record leading technology (preferably SaaS) sales to asset managers, custodian banks, and fund administrators

  • Good understanding of the investment funds market and technology competitive landscape. Strong commercial sense to identify customer needs and appropriate action plan

  • Relationships and communication: Ability to engage with executives across product, operations and technology by networking in complex organization structures. Demonstrate strong communication and interpersonal skills with industry knowledge to establish interest, trust and credibility
  • Technical skills: Good understanding investment funds technology platforms and ecosystems, enterprise cloud technologies, machine learning, and artificial intelligence
  • Preferably strong university education in business, finance, or computer science
